I thought the pictures in the book were pretty good and very
colorful. The lesson I learned from the
book was teamwork, because all the instruments worked together on their journey
to Jazzland.
Mom’s Thoughts:
This story was in-depth, but would appeal to children who
have a passion for music. Ms. de Saulnier
has given us a great description on the sound that each instrument creates and
gives us a glimpse at the world of jazz music.
This book may appeal to children as young as five years old,
but depending on their level of reading….you may have to read it for them.
